“In the Netherlands german ‘krimi’s’ on television have always been popular. Der Alte, Tatort, Commissaris Rex. And most popular, in loving memory, Horst Tapperts’ Derrick.
He has become cult as they say. The same is happening with Germany i believe. I used him as a metaphor for the german ‘cool’. Mirroring the creative vibe and positive atmosphere i have experienced – especially in Berlin.”
